Summary

In a city so dismal it's known only as "the Hole," a clan of Sorcerers has been plucking people off the streets to use as guinea pigs for atrocious "experiments" in the black arts。 In a dark alley, Nikaido found Caiman, a man with a reptile head and a bad case of amnesia。 To undo the spell, they're hunting and killing the Sorcerers in the Hole, hoping that eventually they'll kill the right one。 But when En, the head Sorcerer, gets word of a lizard-man slaughtering his people, he sends a crew of "cleaners" into the Hole, igniting a war between two worlds。

Who's the boss? Things are getting weird in En's former mansion。 The Cross-Eyes realize their boss has been transformed into a pie, of all things, and scramble in an all-out effort to save him。 Meanwhile, Kasukabe has entered the former En mansion and has witnessed Kai's secret experiments。 The numerous heads of magic users。。。the meanings of which are slowly coming to light。 It might be the beginning of the end—the countdown to the final truth has begun!

While not as satisfyingly as the last volume it was full of more wonderfully morbid imagery。

This is a darker and grittier volume than those that came before it。 We find out what happened before Aikawa's breakdown in an incredibly well-paced manner。Full review to come This is a darker and grittier volume than those that came before it。 We find out what happened before Aikawa's breakdown in an incredibly well-paced manner。Full review to come 。。。more

I have no idea what’s happening tbh

I start to feel quite impatient that what we seem to have understood is revealed to all protagonists。

I appreciate the the author wants to switch things up after 15 volumes。 Even so, I can't really follow what is happening, which makes me admire the scenery, which is a bit wanting。 Hoping it picks up in the new few volumes。Also, why are the female characters (and only the female characters) always in a state of undress? I understand that this is probably common in most manga, but I had hoped one by a female author would be a little less gaze-y。 I appreciate the the author wants to switch things up after 15 volumes。 Even so, I can't really follow what is happening, which makes me admire the scenery, which is a bit wanting。 Hoping it picks up in the new few volumes。Also, why are the female characters (and only the female characters) always in a state of undress? I spend half my time with this manga thinking things like what the fuck is going on? or which character is that? and the other half just reveling in the weirdness and gloppy body horror。 At this point I really have no clue what Hayashida intends the reader to understand about Caiman/Ai/Aikawa/cross-eyes boss or whatever。 Is the six headed (or is it eight) flayed body monstrosity the same as Caiman or not。 I've got no fucking clue, but the drawings sure are gross and cool。 I spend half my time with this manga thinking things like what the fuck is going on? or which character is that? and the other half just reveling in the weirdness and gloppy body horror。 At this point I really have no clue what Hayashida intends the reader to understand about Caiman/Ai/Aikawa/cross-eyes boss or whatever。 Is the six headed (or is it eight) flayed body monstrosity the same as Caiman or not。 I've got no fucking clue, but the drawings sure are gross and cool。 。。。more
